In today’s climate there are many people concerned about the ability to be resilient. Resilience is the ability to rebound, get back up, review, adjust and go again.

In todays blog I share with you my ability to turn it around....if I can, you can

I get it, the last year or so has been tough, you may be feeling confused, lost even exhausted.
Take some comfort knowing that you are not alone, I too have experienced this.

Research shows us that our mindset is a powerful tool and our thoughts shape our reality. It is when we take the time to gain the awareness of where we are focussing our thoughts a majority of our conscious day that we begin to see that we are feeding our results.

This being the case our mindset is critical to our results. Tony Robbins shares that our results come from 80 percent mindset and 20 percent strategic action.

Where is your focus right now?

I want to share with you that this is something I have been struggling with over the past month or so. Yes, I have been exercising, hydrating, looking after myself etc, however after seeking the support of a fellow coach. This was the moment of acknowledging that I needed to dig deep within tap into my resilience to stand up, step up and level up. You see I believe if I can do it I can undo it.

I now realise that the biggest contributor to this result has been my mindset, my language and ultimately my focus. I acknowledge now that my focus had turned to all the things I perceived to be hard, to be lost and the things I was missing. This left me feeling bewildered, invisible, frustrated and even stuck. This is not how I choose to live my life.


The way I am turning this around is to continue to exercise, hydrate, look after my needs and most importantly change my language when engaging in conversation. I have also committed to writing down my gratitude on a daily basis, to speak my mantra out loud, initially 3 times a day for the next 7 days.

I also have some questions I am asking myself when an un-resourceful thought pops into my mind.

❤️️  What evidence do I have to support this belief, thought, or judgement?
❤️️  How do I want it to be?

It is in this moment that I can affect the change of my focus, the meaning I am applying to the moment, and truly embrace my resilience to continue to move forward towards the best version of myself.

Along with this I have committed to expressing compassion as I acknowledge and embrace that I am where I need to be. Now with the courage to see and embrace this, my mood is lifting.
